Hello, fantasy fans, fellow campers, Twitter friends, Facebook friends, and whoever else might be out there! Welcome to the first draft of my new fantasy novel, The Transmuted. You can all join me on my writing journey beginning tomorrow evening. As a preview, here’s the first draft of my synopsis of the novel.

The royal family of a kingdom has long enforced a strict test of character and loyalty for those wishing to become residents of their kingdom. They must register and work hard for the kingdom for a period of six months before being granted six months. Those caught living in the kingdom without having registered are forced to work for a whole year while transmuted into a mechanical man.

One such unregistered individual faces this fate, but his landlord, a native-born citizen of the kingdom, voluntarily faces it with him in exchange for the sentence being shortened to six months. These two unlikely companions learn to survive in a world of bigotry, fear, and hatred, and discover how much alike they really are.
